Co-op Program Committee members
The committee is made up of five co-op members, two CEHL Board members, the CEHL Managing Director, and an independent Chair and independent co-op advisor.
Board members are appointed by the CEHL Board and co-op members are apointed by CPC through an application process which looks at relevant skills, experience and knowledge.
Elizabeth Ellen Co-op Member Elizabeth us an original member CPC. In her interactions as co-op member and office holder she adheres to the International Co-op Principles and Program Principles. With her interest in workplace training, Elizabeth has been on the CEHL Training Advisory Committee, and has a background in aged care. | Gordon Kieselbach CEHL co-op elected Board Director Gordon is one of the three CEHL Board Directors on CPC. A Member for the CEHL Program for 18 years, Gordon has been an active member of his co-op and in the Geelong region. Gordon served as a police officer and also worked in the insurance industry for many years. As a proud Indigenous man, Gordon regularly conducts a welcome to country as part of CPC meetings. | ||
Damian Dickson Co-op Member Damian recently joined CPC as a community member. He is currently Chair of Sun CERC and prior to this was a member of Earth CERC commencing in the late 1990's. His background as a Welfare and Community Development worker has framed his involvement in the Social Housing sector. In particular his roles with unemployed young people in Doveton and Narooma where he established support programmes. Often working as a researcher / consultant, he has experience at all three levels of Government as well as the private sector. Following these roles, he was a teacher in the VET sector in Melbourne and has also taught International Trade subjects in Hangzhou and Shanghai in China. He was a member of the planning committee for the Murundaka housing development in Heidelberg Heights. He is also a member of the CEHL Training Advisory Committee. | Sylwia Greda-Bogusz CEHL co-op elected Board Director Sylwia has been a Castle CERC member since 2013 and was elected to the Board at the AGM 26 November 2016. Sylwia was a member of the Australian Multicultural Advisory Council (2008-2012), member of the Department of Human Services ‑VIC Multicultural Advisory Committee, Member and Deputy Chair, Australian Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health, RMIT University Academic Board Member (Staff representative). Union Staff representative for RMIT University enterprise bargaining. Chair of PolCare – Aged care service provider. Sylwia received an Order of Australia Medal in 2019 for service to the Polish community of Victoria. Sylwia has joined CPC to build on her experience representing Co-ops on other committees. She is looking forward to contributing to its important work | ||
Dianne Gorman Co-op Member Dianne has a long and rich experience as an active co-op member and director for over 20 years. In her professional career she has taken on diverse roles from Flight Attendant to a welfare worker, perfecting her excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills in her work and in her co-op. Dianne is a passionate advocate of the Co-op Housing Program and came to CPC to be a voice for the members and learn more about the workings of the Board and governance of the Program. | Liz Thomas CEHL Board Director Liz Thomas was appointed Managing Director of CEHL in November 2021 and in 2022, she was appointed as one of the Board Directors on CPC. Liz has more than 25 years Board Director experience and for more than a decade, has led community housing organisations. Liz says that being a member of CPC is important to her because it means she can be actively engaged in what is important to co-ops and co-op members. | ||
| Gillian McFee Independent co-op advisor and Chair Gillian is the independent co-op adviser of CPC. She has experience as a CEO of not-for-profit organisations such as Uniting Care Ageing and as a senior officer for the NSW Government. She has worked with co-operative or mutual enterprises (CME) including helping to establish Australia's first employee-owned public service mutual in South Australia. |
