Biggest ever investment in social housing
CEHL congratulates the Victorian Government on their unprecedented commitment to build and refurbish social housing properties, a life changing investment for thousands of Victorians – that will provide homes and create jobs.
The government has committed $5.3 billion for 12,000 new social and affordable housing across Victoria, and $498 million for public and community housing refurbishment and maintenance works to existing social housing properties.
Stephen Nash, CEHL Managing Director said it’s an incredibly welcome investment that will provide the stability and security for thousands of Victorians to build their future and make a significant difference to upgrading existing community housing stock.
