From a grassroots rental housing co-operative movement, the CEHL Co-operative Housing Program has evolved into a thriving, vibrant program for many diverse people and communities across Victoria.

So too has each co-op developed their own unique identity, as members have worked together shaping their co-op vision and purpose making your co-op what it is today.

Understanding β€˜what is a housing co-op and how is it different?’ is a question often asked by applicants, potential partners and funders.

To help shine a light on co-op housing we are asking co-ops to share their story about the essence of their co-op.

We have a page on the CEHL website with the basic information for each co-op outlining the suburbs/ area and home sizes.

Now it’s over to you – the co-ops, to share your story and give others an insight into co-op housing.

All going well, we plan to highlight a different co-op story each month on our website and through other media channels*

Over the coming weeks we will be re-connecting with co-op champions seeking information about each and every co-op.
