The Lakewood Co-op building in Ringwood is set for a major repair and refurbishment as plans were approved by the CEHL Board in March 2020.
The building has had significant defects that have required some members to be relocated to alternative temporary housing. These works, when complete, will enable Lakewood Co-op to re-establish onsite in late 2021, with increased membership.
Funds for the works will be sourced separately from the Program Third Schedule budget.
Feedback from Lakewood members have helped inform our work on refurbishment features that will improve the overall amenity and functionality of the apartments and building.
We are actively working with the Lakewood board and members on the implementation of this important project.
CEHL appreciates the constructive and positive way the Lakewood Board and members have engaged with the process, as it has been challenging for all during the coronavirus pandemic.
