2019 Harmony Week

Today at CEHL we celebrate diversity, respect and belonging of our community by getting together to bring and share food and stories, as part of a Harmony week celebrations.

We see our workplace and broader community gaining strength from it's diversity and from the active participation of people.

The continuing message of ‘harmony’ in our community is essential, especially in light of the recent tragic events in Christchurch last week. Our thoughts are with the families and friends who tragically lost their lives, and we condemn other divisive acts around the world.

We each play a part in creating a harmonious supportive and inclusive culture that values community participation, diversity, respect and belonging.

Australia is one of the most successful multicultural countries in the world and we should celebrate this and work to maintain it.

Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
