Ringwood: CEHL's Lakewood high rise social housing complex undergoing huge refurb

The Lakewood complex on Larissa Ave, built in 2011 is undergoing an internal and external makeover after moisture problems and defects impacted the eight story building.
The layout of the building will be improved with better access, storage and each of the 80 apartments will have new kitchens, split system cooling and heating, double glazed windows and privacy screening.
Residents were relocated to nearby temporary housing late last year, and most are set to move back when works finish.
"People in the housing program have said being part of the housing co-op has really changed lives - we're all about making them feel safe, secure and enabling them to thrive."
