Tenancy Coordinator

We are seeking a Tenancy Coordinator to join the team. You will work in a team to provide a range of tenancy management services for housing co-ops.

• Permanent position available due to growth in the team.
• Full time or part time options of at least 30 hours per week will be considered.
• Richmond based with regular travel to a wide variety of locations (metro and rural), and the possibility of working 1 day each week at our offices in Ringwood and Dandenong.

Common Equity Housing Limited (CEHL) is Victoria's largest Housing Association and is both a provider and developer of affordable housing under a co-operative housing model. CEHL currently houses in excess of 5,000 people in over 2,200 properties across Victoria.

The Role

Reporting to a Team Leader, you will work in a team to provide a range of tenancy management services for housing co-operatives, including:

• Establishing new tenancies.
• Processing vacating tenancies.
• Managing ongoing tenancies.
• Inspecting properties.
• Facilitating property maintenance in liaison with our Maintenance Team.
• Liaising with the housing co-operatives and their members.
• Providing a rent arrears management service.

Who We Wre Looking For

• Tenancy management experience and relevant qualifications.
• Good working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) processes.
• Experience of conducting home visits and property inspections
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft skills and experience of using tenancy databases (preferably Chintaro).
• Strong-self organisation skills.
• Collaborative team working approach
• A current driver's license and ability to travel to co-operatives and households in a wide variety of locations (metro, rural and regional)
