Our busy Administration Team needs an experienced administration officer. You will fully participate in the work of the team, including learning the work of other admin team members, participating in regular team meetings, and directly reporting to the Administration Coordinator.
This includes (but is not limited to):
Receiving and transferring phone calls from the public and our tenants.
Housing application administration and housing referral database processes.
Distributing incoming mail/mail outs/franking and posting outgoing mail.
Hard copy and electronic filing.
Word processing and other general administration tasks.
Reception duties.
This requires:
A business administration qualification or related training (preferable).
Administration experience.
Experience of multi-tasking a variety of tasks within a busy admin team.
Experience of receiving phone calls from a wide variety of people.
Experience of using databases, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
A strong team working outlook.
Salary $37,500pa increasing to $38,500pa after satisfactory completion of 6 months. Includes salary packaging, free parking, and modern office environment.

Position Description for Administration Officer
Do you have:
A relevant Degree or Diploma (desirable)
Community or Social Housing or community development experience (eg: as a Housing Officer or support worker, or similar)
Experience in monitoring and assessing compliance of groups, committees or small businesses against legal and other compliance requirements
Experience of providing objective coaching, advice and guidance to groups, committees or individuals (by phone and in person)
A working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997, Co-operatives Act 1996, and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) Residential Tenancies List procedures (desirable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent team-working ethos
Excellent self-organisation, time management and planning skills and able to work without direct supervision
Able and willing to travel to Richmond office, and to daytime and evening meetings in Gippsland region and various Melbourne locations
